the Polish (political) scene

Leroy

With the recent election all having gone wrong (and most of us just waiting for some disaster to happen), the Polish political scene got more colorful thanks to a rapper turned politician, Leroy. Since nothing works better like changing subjects and distracting ppl from more important issues, Leroy’s tattoos became an issue on their own.

The conclusion? Modern so-called journalists will use the most ridiculous things to come up with poor texts and tattoos are still going strong as a tool to make ppl seem less worthy to do good things. Sad but true!

bodymod grinders

A pretty interesting article on more extreme forms of body modification and people who decided to undergo such procedures. As with everything, it’s actually unwise to ask why as the reasons are endless and yet everything can be summed up with simple ‘why not?’

body suspension in Sri Lanca

This photo appeared in the newest issue of the Polish NG. It’s nicely traditional and shows that there is way more more to body suspension than the mass media want us to think!

perspectives

It’s not a secret that my approach to tattoos is not about ‘hey, nice ink, dude!) but rather ‘it’s totally interesting; let’s learn some more and look into it,’ so I’m all about reading and thinking about tattoos on many levels. Those who think about tattoos in one way only are totally mistaken IMHO and I love proving it over and over gain.

so… without further ado …

Swimming, like many other sports, focus on body and mind but it’s also a bit different as it exposes its practitioners in more than one regard. Tattoos in swimming may be something special.

A Polish one about tattoos and job market. Much has been said about this question already and even much more will be said in the future. Always interesting even if a bit pointless.

stand against

With so many ppl being anti-multi-culti now, it’s actually refreshing to see someone who supports tolerance and open-mindness by means of tattoos (or not).

Nicely said, too!

Inspiring quotes to get done as tattoos. Powerful as they may be, it’s always better to choose something that’s more personal than an online recommendation 😉

Finally, a Polish text about tattoos and their current alleged normalcy – way too simplified but worth some thinking.

not just skin deep …

beauty is ...

it’s a common phrase used to describe tattoos – beauty is more than skin deep … true and trivial as it is, all of us may prove this statement true. A new photography project, by Niall Patterson, shows people who not only look beautiful but are also able to articulate their thoughts pretty well! Funny that a big cosmetic company goes for a similar thing in their new campaign “I’m beautiful because …
